“This is the Way, Walk Ye in it”

 This song comes from Isaiah 30:21.  It was inspired at a time in my life when I was seeking the Lord’s will in a certain area and was spending much time in prayer.  At these times in my life, it seems that I do much of my praying in the middle of the night (maybe that’s when the Lord can get me still long enough to speak to me).  The Lord speaks to us through many different avenues, if we will take the time to listen to Him and keep our spirits in tune with Him.  We have to get to know His “still small voice” and learn to trust it.

“This is the Way, Walk Ye in it”

In the dark hours of the morning when everything is quiet and still
I cry, “Lord, I am so burdened and I need to know Your will.”
Then I hear a small voice whisper, oh so softly in my ear.
“This is way, this is the way, walk ye in it.”

“This is the way, walk ye in it, I’ve prepared a way for you.
At the end of every tunnel you’ll see my light come shining through.”
Don’t look around and start to wonder, just keep your eyes upon Him
Then He’ll say, “This is the way, walk ye in it.”

Even in the womb He knew you, your life He planned right from the start.
He has a place prepared just for you, if from His will you’ll not depart.
So when your feet begin to stray, you’ll hear a voice behind you say,
“This is the way, this is the way, walk ye in it.”

“This is the way, walk ye in it, I’ve prepared a way for you.
At the end of every tunnel you’ll see my light come shining through.”
Don’t look around and start to wonder, just keep your eyes stayed on Him
Then He’ll say, “This is the way, walk ye in it.”
